Thursday night, August 14th, the guests at the Wright Building were transported back in time via letters from various members of Capt. Gershom Bradford family of Duxbury, MA. The letters are part of the Historical Society’s voluminous Bradford family collection.
Volunteers read selected letters from Capt. Gershom Bradford, his wife Sarah Hickling Bradford and their daughters—Maria, Lucia, Elizabeth and Charlotte. Gueswts learned about this fascinating family through letters which discussed historical figures and events, family matters, casual observations, endearments and a little bit of gossip as well.
